“There were so many people here that I remember helping my family while growing up poor, living in the projects here. I love this community and I would do anything for Charlestown.”

A fifth-generation Charlestown resident, Lisa contributes her time, talent and treasure to a very long list of civic and nonprofit organizations that all strive to make a positive difference  in the community. Her volunteer involvement includes, but is not limited, to serving on the committees for Bunker Hill Associates; Charles Neighborhood Council; Anthony’s Dream, which raises money for those dealing with cancer; and Daughters of Isabella and Old Charlestown Schoolgirls’ Association, which both raise scholarship money for young girls in the community.

Lisa, who works full-time at Harvard Kent Elementary School in Charlestown as a teacher assistant, has also supported CHAD (Charlestown Against Drugs) while it was up and running. Whether it’s helping organize Charlestown Pride Week activities or something as simple as making sure all her students at school have swimsuits, Lisa is always finding ways to give back to her beloved hometown of Charlestown.
