“The mission of MFFC is awesome. We’re trying to increase the use of green and open spaces that exist in Mattapan by developing gardens, parks, and trails. We want our residents to utilize those spaces for physical activities, to have a relaxed mind, or time with the family. We’re decreasing obesity and diabetes and increasing the health of Mattapan residents, increasing physical activities, and bringing the communities together. It gives me a good feeling knowing I’m giving back to my community.”
